Ilana Jacobs

Trained at the Royal Northern College of Music, winning an Entry Scholarship, the Contemporary Music Performance Prize for her final recital and gaining a BMus Honours degree, Ilana now studies with Jacqueline Bremar.

Ilana has recently sung Nedda in I Pagliacci for Chelmsford Opera, La Ciersca in Giani Schicci and La Dama in Macbeth for English Opera Singers.

Other roles include Santuzza in Cavaliera Rusticana, Amelia in Un Ballo in Maschera, Lady Billows in Albert Herring, Rosalinde in Die Fledermaus, the title role in Mary O'Neill by Nicola Lefanu (UK stage premiere and live on BBC Radio 3) and female leads in the acclaimed Pub Operas by Barry Russell.

Other solo performances have included Berlioz's Les Nuits d'Eté with Royal Liverpool Philharmonic Orchestra and Paquette in Bernstein's Candide alongside Kim Criswell and Nicholas Payne.

Ilana has also sung with Opera East, Stanley Hall Opera, Opera Box, Opera Anywhere and Guildford Opera. Previous work with Opera della Luna includes lady patient in L'Elisir d'Amore.
